Seanorama gets passionate in this episode as he reviews the lackadaisical and weak poor character arcs that flowed through Graeme Simsion’s The Best of Adam Sharp, the famous author behind the Rosie Project and Scar Tissue, the biography on Anthony Kiedis. Update: Apparently the New Club St B is no more and we were the last show. Very sad news indeed.

Quoth’s next show here: “Join Ramskull, Five Hundred Pound Furnace and Quoth The Sun on December 8th as we spend the evening remembering and celebrating the timeless legacy of Dimebag Darrell as well as raise awareness for Schizophrenia and PTSD.” Great cause great bands. Season 4, Episode 16 – Danny Roy Interview

November 26th, 2017

Due to some technical glitches and a poor audio quality on the last upload, I have joined the two part interview with Danny as a full length intyerview with the man behind the guitar.

Danny Roy is the guitar slinger for Thunderfunk, former multi-instrumentalist for The Divorcees and the Melanie Morgan Band, bass player for Love Guns, and current guitar tech for Gordie Johnson from Big Sugar. The two get down and deep about the music industry, the east coast of Canada and the Scene.

Season 4, Episode 15 – Van Halen, Latter Day Sins

November 4th, 2017

To quote Jack Black: is it, in fact, unfair to criticize a formerly great artist for his latter day sins, is it better to burn out or fade away?

Seanorama struggles with the sins of the present as Todd Fastfretfingers convinces him of the validity of the past Van Halen collection despite their current struggles through a re-introduction of Diver Down. That’s right, a trip down the greatness that was Van Halen and how revolutionary those first Van Halen albums were, and how relevant they still should still be.

Season 4, Episode 14 – Incorrect Journalism – Han Solo Movie

October 28th, 2017

“Phil Lord and Chris Miller fired from Han Solo movie.” Todd Fastfretfingers plays Headlines with Seanorama as he provides his opinion on Lord and Miller being let go of Disney/Lucasfilm’s Han Solo movie and their replacement by Ron Howard. Todd is NOT a Star Wars fan, hasn’t seen the Lego movie, has no connection to the headline, has never heard of the directors but DOES know Ron Howard. Nonetheless, provides an honest interpretation of the headline without reading the article. You will be surprised at his candour, smarts and perspective. Todd is a wise man.

Season 4, Episode 6 – Rock Is Dead and No One Cares

September 2nd, 2017

Seanorama and special guest Tracy-Ann Leith discuss whether rock music has finally been killed as Gene Simmons and Dee Snider tell it, or whether there is still life in the old beast. Since the advent of Napster and the digital music age, it is not news to anyone that the sale of albums continuously dwindle each year. Is rock dead or is there a resurgence many of us don’t see coming?

Season 4, Episode 5 – Stop misusing the term ‘Rockstar’

August 26th, 2017

Although Seanorama’s online callsign is rockgodsinger, he very clearly adds (sic) at the end of the name: rockgodsinger(sic). In today’s society the term Rockstar is bandied about as some sort of catchphrase that everyone uses and casually applies to people, particularly in the business world. This is one of those cases where a word is taken over by another group, misunderstood, and rebranded reducing the impact of the word in the appropriated setting. What does it all mean? Listen in and find out.

Season 4, Episode 4 – Serious Video Games Talk

August 20th, 2017

Seanorama and special guest Todd Fastfretfingers are talking games! The discussion goes through linear games versus sandbox games; cross compatibility between computer and console games; and downloadable content. This is a gaming feast! Dig in! And a quick mention of the next wave of video games: Virtual Reality!

Well, none other than El Tigre from the Symka RPG. Hear why El Tigre was tops in his book, a little bit about its creator James Remnant and El Tigre’s legacy.

June 25th, 2017

He also discusses the release of Wonder Woman and other properties, it’s cultural significance, and why strong female characters in movies rock.

Head On

Move your wayward face, Push it all away.
Deviate your place, Lead yourself astray
You can’t make me make up false claims
Accusing him just to push your aims
Head On
Head On
Head, head, on
Put away his fate, they will know his face.
It was just play, and you took him away.
The mask he wore was not what you saw.
He’s not a hole you can shove full of
Head On
Head On
Head, head, on

Take a walk through the convention with brother Todd Fastfretfingers (from the band Dome) and Corey Toews (Brother K’Bob from Meet The Geeks). And yes, in this episode, he does in fact get stuck trying to find parking on the way to Keycon. This is weird, this is quirky and unorthodox. Enjoy the ‘cast!

I did not get chance to try everything at Keycon. I have tagged what is covered in the episode that I was able to enjoy, but not what I didn't get a chance to indulge in. Do you want to be in next year's episode? Do you want to be covered in an episode in the SeanGeek podcast before next Keycon? Do you want to influence the direction of the coverage next year? Hit me up and let's set something up.
